ISO 6780 is commonly referenced for principal dimensions and tolerances of flat pallets for intercontinental material handling. ISO 8611 addresses pallet performance testing, including stiffness, strength, and working-load evaluation under defined test conditions. A useful inspection package combines incoming-material records, first-article dimensional inspection, production-lot sampling, and performance-test results. Dimensional reports should cover footprint, squareness, thickness, support features, handling openings, and critical conveyor or rack interfaces. A pallet can meet a static load result and still be unsuitable if the test does not reproduce the warehouse’s support and handling conditions.
